Who each one is for

  • Billo suits brands that want a marketplace: you browse and filter creators, watch what they have made, invite them or choose from applicants, and manage the order yourself. If you would rather not run it, Billo also sells a managed service billed monthly.
  • Ad Army suits brands and agencies that want finished video ads without managing creators. You submit one request, we cast vetted creators from our roster, and you pay a flat price only for the videos you approve.

Pricing and total cost

Billo's public pages do not list a per-video price. Its terms say each order carries an Order Fee paid to the creator, plus platform fees, and that the brand's current prices appear in the logged-in account. The one public number is the managed service, which starts from $2,000 a month and is tailored to your monthly volume. CreativeOps, its performance data layer, is an optional subscription, and Billo says you can hire creators without it.

That means you can't work out the cost of ten 30 second videos from Billo's public pages alone; you need an account or a quote. At Ad Army, ten 30 second edits cost $1,750, listed on the pricing page, with no subscription and no cut of your sales or ad spend. Our guide to UGC pricing and hidden fees covers what to ask for when a price is not public.

Who picks the creators

This is the biggest difference. On Billo you choose: you can browse and filter creators, see their past videos, invite specific people, or pick from creators who apply to your offer. Billo says its 5,000+ creators are vetted before they join, and that every creator is a human rather than an AI avatar.

Ad Army works the other way. You describe the product and the videos you need, and we cast creators from our vetted roster. Creators stay anonymous to you, so you can't pick a specific person or message creators directly. In exchange, there is nothing to manage: no shortlists, no chasing drafts, no paying creators one by one.

Rights, whitelisting and reporting

Both give you strong rights. Billo's terms say the creator assigns all rights in an approved video to the brand, worldwide and for the full duration of those rights. Ad Army includes full content rights on every video for organic, ads and any placement, with no expiry, and the usage rights guide explains why the duration matters.

For ads run from a creator's handle, Billo sells partnership ads as a paid add-on, with each creator setting their own price. Ad Army charges a flat $50 per video, only if the creator agrees.

On reporting, Billo's optional CreativeOps uses performance data from your connected ad account to show which ads to scale or shut down. Ad Army gives every approved video its own tracking code, with last-click attribution, hook rate, hold rate and ROAS per video.

When Billo is the better choice

  • You want to choose specific creators and see their past work first
  • You want creators to post the video on their own profile (Billo sells 30 day organic posting)
  • You prefer a self-serve marketplace you run yourself, with a managed tier if you outgrow it
  • Your product ships physically and you want Billo's logistics partners to handle it

When Ad Army is the better choice

  • You want a published flat price per approved video before you start
  • You want it fully managed without a monthly retainer
  • You want revisions until you approve, rather than a set number of rounds (Billo includes 2)
  • You want results per video, with last-click attribution and ROAS, in one place
